Directed by English filmmaker Francis Searle, the film co-stars Greta Gynt, Herbert Lom, Rona Anderson, and Alan Wheatley, the film is rich in smoky tension and moral ambiguity, all shaped by Hammer’s unmistakable British sensibility.
